‘All this he saw, for one moment breathless and intense, vivid on the morning sky, and still as he looked and lived, and still as he lived he wondered’
The Wind in The Willows - Kenneth Grahame
Ratty Cross has had a love of photography all his life.
After working for 30 years as a British Rail Engineer and then a further ten in the NHS, he finally retired and is able to pursue his photography full-time.
From an initial love of capturing stunning landscapes, both industrial and rural, flora and fauna, Ratty has in recent years diversified and has added wildlife and birds to his extensive collection of fantastic images.
Always looking for Mr Mole and Toad of Toad Hall to add to his photographic collection, his love of wild and undiscovered places earned him the nickname ‘Ratty’ which he adopted as his new persona, haunting the riverbanks and mountainsides in an effort to capture each magical image.
Travelling extensively throughout England and Scotland to find the ‘perfect picture’ Ratty is always looking for that ‘something extra’ which make his photographs simply stunning.
His huge repertoire of images ensures there is always something to appeal to all tastes.
