Snippets of Time - Isobel Rooke, Christine Hughes, Hannah Turlington

Snippets of Time is an exhibition of women determined to find moments for creativity and expression through colour

Snippets of Time is a collaboration between 3 artists; Isobel Rooke, Christine Hughes and Hannah Turlington, whose identities as artists coexist with that of being a mother.

The exhibition explores the push and pull between motherhood and being an artist. Each artist has their own distinctive style and essence to their work but they are united by their determination to be the artist they were born to be.

Exploration and experimentation play a significant part of their processes, which have led to this body of work which you see exhibited.

Colour is what unites these artists even though their styles are different. Colour is integral to the message that the artists want to share and enables this exhibition to create visual cohesion for the viewer.

Each of the artists explores different mediums and sizes, which suits the ways in which they have to work as mothers and the time restraints of family life.

Confident and comfortable with the variety of formats in which they work, they present to you Snippets of Time.
