Lorraine Clissold, author of “Why the Chinese Don’t Count Calories”, gives an insight into Chinese cuisine, how it reflects the country’s history, geography, economy and philosophy and reveals why the Chinese have never doubted that ‘we are what we eat’!
Lorraine lived in Beijing China from 1995 to 2005 where she was a researcher and presenter for an international cooking programme.
She also opened Beijing’s first Chinese Cooking School for western students. She currently runs Yogandspice, teaching Seasonal Flow Yoga, based on the Chinese energy system, as well as offering advice on seasonal dishes and flavours.
This is the second in our spring series of four Station Talks.
