Emma is a North East artist from County Durham. However, she has always been a bit of a free spirit, enjoying travelling almost as much as painting. It is the travelling she has done that has inspired her and influenced her art the most.
The concept for her popular ‘VooDoo Couple’ collection was drawn from memories of one of the most fascinating and captivating places she visited - New Orleans.
You may also notice a ‘love’ theme running through many of her paintings, and a touch of humour in her ‘Mad Moos’ collection. This derives from the relationship she shares with her husband Duane, along with memories from her childhood.
Throughout her working life, Emma never lost sight of her passion for art, and after finding the typical ‘9 to 5’ too mundane, she now works full time from her home studio where she lives with her husband.
She has exhibited in a few venues around the North East and North Yorkshire, but it has been word of mouth that has been the best advertisement. Her work is becoming ever more popular, selling throughout Britain, Europe and even America.
