Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust (RBPT) are delighted to announce their shortlisting across multiple categories at the upcoming Richmond Business Awards, recognising their collective contribution to tourism, hospitality, marketing, accessibility, and employment in the region.
The Station has been shortlisted in the Tourism category, celebrating visitor attractions, leisure venues, festivals, and events, as well as for Accessibility, highlighting its commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors.
The Station Cinema has been shortlisted for both Best Marketing and Accessibility, reflecting its innovative approach to audience engagement and dedication to ensuring cinema experiences are accessible to everyone.
The Station Café | Bar and The Sweet Stop have also received significant recognition. They are shortlisted in the Tourism (Hospitality and Retail) category and for Best Employer, showcasing their high standards in customer experience, team development, and contribution to the local visitor economy. In addition, team members Sally Anderson and Mary Horncastle have been individually shortlisted in the Outstanding Employee category, recognising their exceptional commitment and service.
Owned and operated by RBPT, The Station is an award-winning heritage destination housed in a beautifully restored Victorian railway building. As a charitable organisation, the Trust is dedicated to preserving the historic site while creating a vibrant community space that supports local businesses, arts, culture, and tourism.
The winners will be revealed at the Richmond Business Awards Ceremony, taking place on Friday 17th April. The evening will be hosted by the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith, and will bring together leading businesses and individuals from across the region to celebrate excellence and achievement.
