The nights are drawing in – but there’s no need to feel gloomy - we've got lots of exciting things lined up as we head full steam towards a busy festive season at The Station!
With a few days left of the autumn half term, there’s still time to have a go at our All Aboard the Ghost Train Activity Trail, which runs until Sunday 5th November. Trail sheets are just £1 and can be purchased from The Station Shop, which is open daily from 10am – 4pm.
November sees the return of the annual French Film Festival at The Station Cinema. We’ve got some fantastic titles showing as part of the festival, including Anatomy Of A Fall, Driving Madeleine, Taste Of Things, Goliath, and Bonnard, Pierre and Marthe. We've also got lots of new releases coming to The Station Cinema this month, including The Marvels, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Saltburn, and Disney’s new animation Wish. Book your table at The Station Cafe | Bar, to enjoy a meal with family and friends this month. You can also book now to enjoy our Christmas Menu, and Festive Afternoon Tea from Friday 1st December. Tickets are selling like hotcakes for our Christmas events, including Christmas Jazz Night, on Saturday 9th December, and Supper with Santa, on Saturday 23rd December.
Join us for a very special festive workshop, Glass Fusing for Christmas, on Sunday 19th November, where you can have a go at making your very own fused glass Christmas scene or decoration. At the start of December we'll have the first of three Christmas Fairs, and Father Christmas will be back in The Present Sorting Office on selected dates in the run up to Christmas. In The Station Gallery this month, we have five new exhibitions, including Collaborative Art, by Jean Hardy and Malcolm Noble, and the Association of Animal Artists Autumn exhibition.
