New Garden Event at The Station celebrates the best of Summer
The Station will host a new gardening event early next month, celebrating the best of the summer gardening season. The vibrant community venue, which was previously a garden centre and agricultural store before it’s restoration by the Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust, will welcome local nurseries, florists, and artists on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July from 10-am – 4pm.
Visitors can take part in workshops to make their own stunning summer hanging basket, and for children there is a special seedball making workshop. Visitors can also book to enjoy a demonstration of Eco Printing with summer leaves.
Events Manager Sarah Iveson said, “We are really excited to welcome visitors to this new event at The Station. Summer is a glorious time of year for anyone who loves gardening, and we will have a lovely selection of stalls, with plants and produce from local growers, selling everything you need for your garden this summer.
“Visitors will also have the opportunity to get hands on at our gardening workshops, and to learn about nature inspired art.”
Workshops and demonstrations will be led by Ravensworth Nurseries, and Gillian Smellie Eco Printing, with stalls including Middlemoor Farm Nursery, Summerfield Nursery, Berry House Flowers, Hambleton Hill Nursery, and Gillian Smellie Eco Print and Plant Dyed Textiles.
Entry to the event is free, with charges for workshops and demonstrations, which can be booked online.
