Lucy Pittaway is an award-winning Yorkshire Artist with a fast growing national and international reputation. Hailing from Richmond, North Yorkshire, and inspired by the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Lucy has become well known for her humorous depictions of daily life, family living and experiences.
Look at her artwork and you can’t help but smile. Each collection takes you on a journey experiencing vivid colours, interesting textures and fascinating themes that almost everyone can relate to. Although perhaps known foremost for her sheep art, Lucy’s work is diverse in subject matter, featuring a range of intriguing animals, contemporary landscapes and more recently cyclists. The latter reflects the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Tour de Yorkshire, where Lucy was named the Official Artist for three years running.
Lucy’s work adorns the walls of homes and galleries across the UK and beyond. She was crowned the ‘UK’s Most Popular Published Artist’ by the Fine Art Trade Guild and was awarded ‘Best Art Website of the Year’. Lucy also commissioned ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ as a gift for HRH Princess Anne, which represented the true beauty of the Yorkshire Dales with sheep and wildlife in the heart of Wensleydale.
Lucy’s collections can be found in her galleries in Richmond, Brompton-on-Swale and Yarm, or on her website www.lucypittaway.co.uk
