Friday 27th August - Thursday 9th September 2021
An exhibition by 6 members of Walton Group of artists bringing you a real choice of styles from acrylic meadows, mixed media and lively colourful drawings:
Clare - Specialises in acrylic meadows and is inspired by nature and colour, using acrylic, pastel and mixed media for most of her pieces. Clare is Secretary for Artists Around Wetherby Open Studios which is open the first 2 weekends of September.
Maggie - With a technical drawing background her style is happiest when looking at 'Aspects of the Landscape ' - she will paint The Wall and Field Gate, rather than the view beyond. Maggie likes wildlife, buildings and bridges, and her go to medium is acrylic or pen & wash.
Elaine - Works in both watercolour and acrylic and specialises in Yorkshire scenes, both classic views and hidden gems.
Jackey - Loves nature and wildlife, painting in a variety of mediums but mainly watercolour and pastel. Having moved to Yorkshire 20 years ago, she finds inspiration all around her from the Yorkshire Dales to the Yorkshire Moors.
Sandra - Paints in a variety of different styles, mostly in mixed media, painting landscapes and seascapes of North Yorkshire. She also has a passion for collage bringing texture and rock colours. Sometimes however pastels are used when she paints both animal and human portraits.
Bill - Enjoys creating stories with his detailed drawings of life, showing skill and bringing amusement to the viewer.
