Charity relaunches restaurant space.
A great time was had by all at The Station Café | Bar’s launch night.
Over 70 people celebrated the relaunch of The Station Café | Bar on Friday 21st September, including members of the public – who had purchased the highly desirable limited tickets – and invited guests.
Diners feasted on beetroot and goat’s curd salad, mussel chowder, beef wellington and double chocolate mousse, carefully prepared by award-winning Head Chef Gareth Bottomley and his team.
The Station Café | Bar has developed a close relationship with local suppliers, using the best local produce across all menus. Some of the local suppliers were also there to celebrate on the evening:
Laura Morton, owner of Neeps and Tatties Greengrocers, who supply fruit and vegetables to The Station Café | Bar says, “We were delighted to be invited to launch night at The Station. Seeing our fresh produce transformed into a delicious menu was an absolute treat! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the new look of the bar!”
Entertainment on the evening was provided by magician Alex Jobson and singer Evie Wright.
Gareth says, “Friday evening was a huge success. We couldn’t have asked for the evening to go any more smoothly. We finally got to use the kitchen to its full potential.
We have also got new team in place and they all performed amazingly well. Without them it would not have been possible. So a big well done and thank you to them.
This for us was the most pleasing aspect of the evening and leaves us in a great place going forward.”
The Station Café | Bar is now open every day (except Christmas Day) 9am – 11pm.
