The Countdown to Christmas begins today and we've got plenty of treats in store for you at The Station
In the run up to the big day we will be opening for three more Late Night Christmas Shopping evenings, taking place every Thursday, 4pm – 8pm until the 16th December. Visitors to The Station will be able to find the perfect present at The Station Shop, The Angels Share Bakery, Kacao Chocolaterie and Richmondshire Brewing Company as well as browsing a selection of handpicked stalls selling unique gifts, art, and local produce. A present wrapping service will be on offer at The Station Shop and gift vouchers for use in either The Station Shop or The Station Café | Bar will also be available.
Magic in the air as Father Christmas comes to The Station this month. Children can meet Father Christmas in The Present Sorting Office at The Station during our late-night shopping evenings - tickets can be booked online.On selected evenings families can also enjoy rides on a miniature Christmas train here at The Station.
Our Christmas Activity Trail for children is running every day with competitions and prizes to be won - trail sheets are just £1 per child and are available at The Station Shop.
Richmond’s biggest open art exhibition A Spot on the Wall returns to our galleries this month and will feature an ever-changing display of artwork over the coming weeks – come along and see for yourself. Later this month The Station will also host a Vintage Christmas Fair on Saturday 11th December with gorgeous seasonal vintage homewares, reused and repurposed items and other unique gifts on offer.
The Station Café | Bar is serving a delicious three course Christmas menu from until Thursday 23rd December, as well as Festive Afternoon Teas. December also sees the return of The Station Café | Bar’s popular comedy dining events, with an Absolutely Fabulous performance this Saturday.
Visitors are invited to see in the New Year in style at The Station Cafe | Bar, with an evening of fabulous food and dancing to welcome the start of 2022.
And if that’s not enough to get you in the festive spirit throughout December there will also be festive films including screenings of The Polar Express and It’s A Wonderful Life at The Station Cinema, as well as live music, with performances from the Reeth Brass Band, The Dales Youth Choir, The Dales Pop Choir and The Charlotte Jacqueline School of Dance.
