In this collection of his most recent images, whether landscape, nature or abstract photographs, Alan Roberts has tried to pinpoint the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of the subject. In short, its essence. Though the themes may differ substantially, his aim has been consistent: to expose inherent elements and allow observers to appreciate the ‘sprit’ of his focus. Alan is especially drawn to capture scenes of the rural lifestyle and agricultural occupations which he witnesses daily living in the borderlands of Cumbria Alan is fascinated by textures and the impact of light on surfaces, revealing subtle layers of depth and colour. This collection showcases his observations.
