Jo Pardoe has been creating art for nearly 40 years. She studied at the Birmingham School of Art, gaining an Honours degree. Since then she has divided her time between creating and teaching art. She has been represented by galleries in St Ives, Staffordshire and Warwickshire. Her work is inspired by land and seascapes, her distinctive palette creating a gentle dreamlike quality. Since moving to The Yorkshire Dales in 2018, her work has expanded to reflect the impact of the beautiful and sometimes desolate landscape of the area.
Max Ahmed has lived and worked in the Yorkshire Dales for last 30 years. The move from an industrial city into the gorgeous landscape of the local area re-inspired her love of painting. Her inspiration has also come from encouragement and tuition by Winifred Hodge and Ian Scott-Massie - both of whom she really admires. She is constantly striving to capture the essence and mood of a place, a snapshot in time, a celebration of nature and all the colour that makes it sing.
Gill Kopka started painting in earnest when she retired to the Dales. Having dabbled for years, she joined an art group in Carperby where she gained the confidence to exhibit and sell her work locally. Mostly, Gill works with coloured pencils and watercolour, specialising in flowers and animals. Recently Gill has ventured into local landscapes. Her work is a celebration of the vibrant colours of nature, along with her fascination with the beautiful shapes and contours of natural forms, portrayed with great attention to detail.
